CERTICLOUD

Description

The educational centers Arizmendi, Lea-Artibai Ikastetxea and Politeknika Txorierri, together with the companies Alecop, LKS Selection Training Management, LKS Infraestructuras IT and Indaba, and the IKERLAN and ISEA Centers, are developing the CERTICLOUD project, consisting of a platform for issuing digital educational degrees and certifications using blockchain technology to guarantee their authenticity.

The use of blockchain technology will enable the digital transformation of this sector towards more automated and efficient processes, fine-grained digital certificates on a multitude of activities and courses throughout student and working life, and above all unforgeable certificates that any employer can easily verify.

The existence of CERTICLOUD will, in a first instance, improve management in the training and recruitment sector, bringing veracity to the information on job portals. In addition, the consortium promoting the project, plans to generate a series of value-added services in a second phase.

The project, which will run from 2021 to 2023, has received funding from the HAZITEK program of the Basque Government's Department of Economic Development and Competitiveness, and from the European Union (ERDF).
